Founder/Executive Director of re:imagine/ATL for the past 13 years, Susanna has worked with hundreds of youth from various backgrounds at camps, after school programs, and she has served as a personal mentor to previously incarcerated youth, LGBTQ youth, and many others from across different backgrounds. She believes, no matter where you are from, everyone has a story, and that story deserves to be shared. In March of 2014, Susannalaunched her dream organization, re:imagine/ATL. Re:imagine/ATL exists to empower the next generation of storytellers in media and film production.Susanna grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia and received her undergraduate degree in Marketing and Rhetoric at Georgia College and State University. Before starting re:imagine/ATL she worked in outside sales in the construction industry to save money to jumpstart re:imagine/ATL. In 2015, she gave a TEDx Atlanta talk about re:imagine/ATL’s work with teens in Sierra Leone during the Ebola epidemic. Sheis currently a social innovation fellow for the Center for Civic Innovation, a leader in Sara Blakely’sentrepreneurship program, a member of Annie E. Casey and the Foundation Center’s Boys of Men of Color Executive Director Collaboration Circle, and was recognized as Creative Loafing’s People to watching 2017. She loves to dig for gems, take road trips, and she will find any excuse to dance.
