IBM Design
Sean joined IBM Design in 2012 to stand up the enablement programs that would power IBM’s design transformation. Over the last six years he has led the creation and execution of three-month bootcamps for hundreds of newly hired designers, weeklong IBM Design Thinking bootcamps for dozens of IBM Product Teams, and multiple in-person and online IBM Design Thinking courses. Later, while working IBM’s services organizations and their clients, Sean led the creation of an IBM Design Thinking badging system that has recognized over 75,000 design thinkers, and created and connected a network of mentorship chapters that stretches over 60 cities around the world. Sean’s current mission is to extend and share these enablement paths so that everyone, not just IBMers, can learn, practice and benefit from the user centered design principles of IBM Design Thinking.
