Emmett “Trey” Hawkins oversees technology solutions, service offerings, and the evolution of core technologies at Leapfrog Services. He also works with Leapfrog clients as an advisor and solutions architect. He was co-founder and CTO of Virtex Networks, Inc., one of the nation's first IT infrastructure service providers, which was acquired by Leapfrog in 2001. Prior to founding Virtex, he ran Computer Associates' enterprise software training center in Atlanta, GA.
Emmett is a member of InfraGard, a cooperative undertaking between the U.S. government, businesses, academic institutions, and law enforcement agencies dedicated to increasing the security of United States critical infrastructures. He also writes and contributes frequently on cybersecurity issues.
Emmett was nominated for the Atlanta CIO of the year award in 2014 and served on a special committee to help select the CIO of the City of Atlanta. He is also a board member and trustee for the Grace Scholarship Foundation. He earned is BA from Emory University and is a graduate of the Duke Fuqua School of Business AMP Program.
